“Aaron came to install our new bathroom and we can’t speak highly enough of him and the quality of his workmanship.

It was no small project – our bathroom was downstairs (we have a Victorian terrace), so the job entailed knocking a small toilet and our ‘box room’ upstairs into one room and making this good (new doorway, new ceiling, plastering). He then installed new pipework, as well as the bathroom suite itself, laminate flooring, tongue & groove style cladding onto the walls and tiling.

The finished room looks amazing – we love it! Aaron was a pleasure to work with; from start to finish he worked like a trojan (he’s the fastest, tidiest worker, I swear!) and more importantly still, he’s a perfectionist – the finish on everything from woodwork to tiling is immaculate.

We had ordered our bathroom from a ‘large DIY store’ (mentioning no names!) so, perhaps as to be expected,  there were certain items that arrived (or that didn’t arrive at all) that were not to standard and Aaron was always honest and upfront about what would work and what wouldn’t and what we needed – and bent over backwards to help get everything just right before going ahead with installation.

All in all we are thrilled with the new bathroom – it’s our favourite room of the house and we’ve had so many comments about it from envious friends and family! Our next project is a new kitchen/extension to the kitchen and Aaron is taking care of this too – we trust him implicitly and know he’ll do a fab job; despite us living in Surrey, we’re happy to pay his travel costs as we feel it’s invaluable just to know our project is in good hands, I know the end result will be amazing and exactly what we ask for, and we won’t be taken for a ride along the way.”

Strongcarpenty&build has recently completed a refurbishment programme to the ground floor of our property, 41 Waterford Lane, Lymington, Hampshire. The work included repairing the damp course, re plastering walls, creating a new office/snug, organising electrical repairs, painting and decorating and finally laying a new wood floor throughout.

Aaron first worked for us in January 2010. He fitted a new kitchen which wasn’t a straight forward job and meant knocking down walls, putting in steels and lowering the ceiling. A pantry was transformed into a downstairs cloakroom with Aaron’s idea of where to position the door making all the difference. A skylight was put in and he had transformed a very small old and dark galley shaped kitchen into something with the wow factor. The neighbours were so impressed as they watched him turn up every morning, come what may, working outside in the snow, sleet and rain.
He impressed us so much, due to his hard work and work ethic that we always call him if we need a job doing, we know he is reliable and gets the work done.
Since then he has fitted wooden flooring to the whole of the downstairs, made a very small bathroom into a modern family bathroom by knocking down a separating wall which divided the bathroom and toilet, making a very spacious family size bathroom which now incorporates a wet room style shower, bath, toilet and sink.
He has even turned his hand to decorating.
Aaron has given us peace of mind knowing he will turn up on time and do a very good job. He gets the work done (never going off and doing other jobs for people, like some other builders tend to do) and finishes the job to a very high standard. He has an eye for detail giving us advice on style and the extra finishing touches which makes all the difference when completing a room.
